Words of Life

How do I Serve the Lord

  • (Micah 6:8) Revelation of God
  • (Matthew 22:37 -40) The Greatest Commandment
  • (1 Peter 4:10 -11) The Ministry Of God

These Words of Life written here are very simple and are not complete. I would recommend to read the passages listed above for deeper study & inspiration.

Micah 6 says God has revealed to us what is good and required of us. Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly

Matthew 22, Jesus says this is the first and greatest commandment. Love the Lord with all your Heart, Soul, Mind & The second is equal to it Love your neighbor like yourself.

1 Peter 4 Tells us how to minister to each other in a way that glorifies God. As good stewards of God Give what gift God has given to you, Serve according to the ability he gives, In whatever measure of the manifold grace of God that you receive even so minister to others.

In both Micah 6:8 and Matthew 22:37 -40 we find 3 similar themes.

Do Justly in Micah & Thou Shalt in Matthew are both commands to action.

Both passages tell us to love, Love Mercy & Love the Lord…

We are to Walk Humbly & To Love our Neighbor Like Ourself. To view others with the equal love I have towards myself, indeed requires humility.

The passage in 1 Peter encourages us to share the grace of God. In fact God intended & expects us to share with others. Putting to action & also sharing what God has revealed to us is the truest & holiest service we can offer to our God
